The WIP Cats came through to bring some fun at The Deck of Ronac Art Center two Saturdays ago to celebrate the birthday of one of their top cats Ian Sermonia and at the same time the release of their Nick Automatic Glider and MNL Tondo @ UNSCHLD.

It's good to have events going on at the deck again after being reported to the brgy office by some residents around the area for being too loud. You just can't kick out the life of the deck. News is we are about to soundproof the deck so that we can turn it up on full blast next time. Haha! Anyway it was a fun night and there were performances by Toney Chrome of 187 Mobstaz, Tondo Tribe, Tempes, B.A.M. and yours truly. I shared 2 new tracks from my upcoming mixtape with SPNZ called Hit The Spot. Something that y'all should watch out for in the next few months.

While we celebrate our nation's Independence Day, we, at UNSCHLD, also pledge allegiance to the attitude and mentality that brought us here -- being self-taught. We may not have graduated with business management degrees and we may still be on our way to getting our MBAs but we're here, trying to make it and we're still doing it. Independence Day is also Independent's Day as we salute and pay tribute to the homies who refuse to adhere to the status quo; blazing their own trails, creating their own paths.

Join us on June 12, 2012, as we get back on the good foot and bring back the good ol' dusty urban funk from the Play Tuesdays crew. It could be a reunion of sorts or a meeting of the minds, but most of all, its just how INDEPENDENTS get down and PLAY.

It's a good day, but a better day is coming. On March 3, 2012, with Groupe de Ville, we will release our collaboration shirt at UNSCHLD's flagship store, at The Deck, Ronac Art Center, Ortigas Ave. cor. Santolan Road, San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Selling of the shirt will start by 3pm, but you can go as early as you want to get first dibs, because our stocks for that day will be very limited. Also, we will be raffling free Vans sneakers on the release, so if you don't need to be anywhere else until 6pm, I encourage you to stay. All who will buy the shirt are the only ones who will have the chance to win free pairs of shoes. A pair for a girl and another for a guy. So I'm also encouraging all my female readers to drop by and buy a shirt, you just might bring home fresh new Vans sneakers with your Astron x Groupe shirt. Hope to see you guys there!
